Know More About Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National park is located in Manyara region, Tanzania. Tarangire National Park is mostly famous for the abundance of old-aged or ancient baobabs, birding destinations, and large herds of Elephants.
As the name itself Tarangire National Park was named so after the Tarangire River. Tarangire river is found in this National Park and is the main source of water for all the animals nearby it.
Its no wonder that a lot of wildlife starts migrating and accumulating themselves in this park. So the better time to visit Tarangire National park is during the dry or winter seasons (June to October).
At that time you will find a lot of(300) elephants herds, beautiful different colored birds all around the area with their beautiful singing voices. It is estimated that over 500 bird species live at Tarangire.
The landcscape is so attractive with the ancient baobab trees all around. In this wildlife safari you will come across zebras, giraffes, hyenas, wart-hogs, buffalos and many other predators and ungulates.
The Lions and leopards are frequently spotted too. when in your safari at the National park you will also see, are Matete woodlands popular for viewing leopards, Kitibong Hill-a stunning area which is a home to cape buffalo and African wild dogs.

Once you have arrived safely at Kilimanjaro airport you will be met by one of our friendly driver who will transfer you to your already prepared hotel in
Moshi. Should you arrive early you can explore the small town of Moshi, which is only a short taxi ride away, or you can just relax at the lodge
and get ready for the days ahead. Our operations staff and Guide who will explain everything you need to know
before starting the day trip the following day. Tarangire National Park is awaiting you with its mighty baobab trees, huge elephant population
and an animal and landscape diversity that steals the heart of every African traveler. This day trip leaves you wanting to see more and more of
Africa's wildlife.
We will depart from Moshi in the morning beginning our day trip safari to the Tarangire National Park where you can marvel at the colossal termite mounds and the
ancient baobab trees. The picturesque scenery and diverse bird-life assist in creating the tranquil ambiance of the Tarangire National Park.
The great elephant population is an extremely remarkable sight. African elephants are the largest land mammal and adult males can weigh as much
as seven tones. Tarangire varied wildlife includes lions, giraffes, warthogs, ostriches, impalas, cheetah, mongoose, buffaloes, and baboons. When
your game drive comes to an end, we will drive back to Moshi, where we are expected in the evening.
07:30hrs:
Depart Moshi or Arusha by Safari Jeep to Tarangire National Park. The distance from Moshi is 210kms while from Arusha is 130kms.
10:00hrs:
Arrive at the park and proceed on a Game drive. Animals expected to be seen include: Elephants, Dik Dik, Leopards, zebra, giraffe, ostrich and different kind of birds
13:00hrs:
At lunch time you will stop at a nice picnic site and enjoy an amazing lunch. Thereafter, you will proceed on a game drive.
16:00hrs:
You will depart the National park and proceed to Arusha town.
