    Day 1: Arrival In Bujumbura And Transfer To The Hotel

    Your 6-Day Burundi Rwanda Wildlife Adventure begins with your arrival at Bujumbura Airport in Burundi. Our friendly tour guide will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your comfortable hotel, setting the stage for an unforgettable journey.

  • After a delightful lunch, explore the vibrant Bujumbura city starting with “Place de l’Independence”, and the mausoleum of Prince Louis Rwagasore—a hero of Burundi’s independence. Ascend to “Belvedere” for breathtaking views of Lake Tanganyika. Continue to “La Pierre de Stanley et Livingstone”, the commemorative stone of the legendary explorers. Experience a thrilling boat trip to Rusizi National Park, getting up close with hippos and a variety of birds. Optionally, visit the Sion market before heading back to your hotel for the night. Overnight at Safari Gate Hotel.

    Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

    After a hearty breakfast, embark on a journey to the Source of the Nile, followed by a visit to the spectacular Karera Falls. In the afternoon, travel to Gitega to explore the Burundi National Museum and experience a captivating cultural performance by the famous Burundi drummers at Gishora Hill. Return to Bujumbura for the night. Overnight at Safari Gate Hotel.

    Rise early for breakfast and depart at 6:00 AM for Nyungwe Forest National Park in Rwanda. Enjoy the scenic drive through the rolling hills of Rwanda, aptly named the “Land of a Thousand Hills.” After lunch, embark on a nature walk in search of blue monkeys, Angolan colobus monkeys, and other fascinating wildlife.

    After an early breakfast, set off on an exhilarating chimpanzee trekking adventure, immersing yourself in the lush forests as you search for these incredible primates. Post-lunch, drive to Butare to visit the Historical Museum of Rwanda, then continue to Nyanza to tour the King’s Palace before retiring for the night at “Chez Lando” Hotel in Kigali.

    After breakfast, embark on a Kigali City tour, exploring significant sites including the Kigali Genocide Memorial, Presidential Palace Museum, Kandt Museum, and Nyamirambo Women’s Center.
