A 12-day Kenya and Tanzania safari is an experience of a lifetime. Discover the Big Five, take in the breathtaking scenery, diverse wildlife, and vibrant African culture as you visit world-renowned parks including Amboseli, Serengeti, and Masai Mara. Enjoy thrilling game drives, majestic landscapes, and unforgettable moments.
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel, which is just a short drive away. Take the remainder of the day to relax and unwind at your leisure, enjoying the comforts of your accommodation.
After breakfast, you will begin your journey from Nairobi to the renowned Amboseli National Park. Known for its breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro and its abundant elephant population, Amboseli offers some of the best wildlife experiences in East Africa. Arrive in time for a delicious lunch before embarking on your first game drive across the park’s unique landscapes, spotting elephants, lions, and other African wildlife.
Wake up early to maximize your time in Amboseli, where the morning light offers the best chances to see the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in all its glory. This park is a photographer’s dream, with the snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro serving as a stunning backdrop to the abundant wildlife. Spend the day observing a variety of animals including elephants, lions, rhinos, cheetahs, and buffaloes in their natural habitats.
Bid farewell to the scenic landscapes of Amboseli and head towards Tanzania. En route, stop at Arusha Coffee Lodge for a refreshing lunch, before continuing your journey to Lake Manyara National Park. The park is known for its diverse ecosystems, including lush groundwater forests, expansive floodplains, and acacia woodlands. Spot large herds of buffalo, wildebeest, and zebra, along with giraffes and the famous tree-climbing lions of Manyara. In the late afternoon, enjoy a game drive before heading to your lodge for the night.
After an early breakfast, you will depart for one of the world’s most iconic wildlife destinations—the Ngorongoro Crater. This geological marvel, which covers 260 square kilometers and is 620 meters deep, is home to around 25,000 animals. The Crater provides an unparalleled opportunity to see the Big Five in a relatively small area. Enjoy a full day of game driving within the crater floor, exploring its rich biodiversity and unique ecosystem. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area also allows the Masai people to continue their traditional pastoral lifestyle, adding cultural significance to this stunning natural wonder.
Travel from the Ngorongoro Highlands to the Serengeti, Tanzania’s oldest and most famous national park. The Serengeti is world-renowned for its vast, open plains and the incredible annual migration of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles. Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon game drive as you head to your lodge, where you will settle in and enjoy dinner.
Spend the next two days discovering the Serengeti’s exceptional wildlife. The park is best known for the Great Migration, when millions of animals move across the plains in search of food. Even when the migration is not happening, the Serengeti remains one of the best places in Africa for game viewing, offering opportunities to see large herds of buffalo, elephants, giraffes, and a variety of antelope species. The vastness of the park also means there are plenty of opportunities to spot predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards.
After breakfast on Day 9, travel to the Migori Airstrip for your flight to the Masai Mara. Upon arrival, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive, setting the stage for your next three nights in the park. The Masai Mara is a continuation of the Serengeti ecosystem, offering rolling grasslands, meandering rivers, and plenty of wildlife. The Mara is particularly famous for its Big Five—lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos.
On Days 10 and 11, you will embark on morning and afternoon game drives within the park. Alternatively, you may opt for a full-day game drive to explore the Mara in greater depth. For an unforgettable experience, take an early morning hot air balloon safari. Soar over the Mara’s plains, forests, and rivers for about an hour, before landing for a spectacular champagne breakfast in the wild.
On your final day of safari, enjoy one last early morning game drive before returning to the camp for breakfast. You will then travel to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi, arriving around midday. Once in Nairobi, you will be transferred to the international airport for your departure flight, bringing your African adventure to a close.
