Ask camp staff what the night brought before the vehicle moves — Lobo's intelligence network runs on ears, not radios. On the tracks, drive less and listen more; the vehicle stopped with the engine off hears elephants a kilometre away. Wilderness here rewards the quietest crew, not the fastest one.

Dust is the #1 enemy of camera equipment. Bring a camera dust blower, lens cleaning cloths, and a rain cover (dust cover). Zip-lock bags for memory cards and batteries. Avoid changing lenses in open air when possible.
