These Terms and Conditions outline your rights, responsibilities, and the policies governing all tours, safaris, treks, and travel services provided by Kizza Adventures throughout Tanzania and East Africa. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Kizza Adventures, a premier Tanzania-based tour operator specializing in Kilimanjaro climbing packages, Tanzania safari packages, Zanzibar tours, and multi-country East African adventures. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern all services provided by Kizza Adventures, including but not limited to safari bookings, mountain trekking expeditions, cultural tours, airport transfers, and accommodation arrangements.
By accessing our website, making an inquiry, or confirming a booking with Kizza Adventures, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not proceed with a booking. Kizza Adventures reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. It is your responsibility to review the most current version before booking.
Company Information: Kizza Adventures is a registered tour operator based in Moshi, Tanzania. Our team has been organizing authentic African travel experiences since 2015, serving thousands of satisfied travelers from around the globe.
Booking & Reservation Process
All bookings with Kizza Adventures can be made via our website contact form, email at [email protected], or WhatsApp at +255623524929. A booking is considered provisional until Kizza Adventures issues a written confirmation and the required deposit has been received.
To secure your reservation for any Kizza Adventures package — whether a Kilimanjaro climb, Tanzania safari, or Zanzibar tour — you must complete the following steps:
- Step 1: Contact Kizza Adventures with your preferred tour package, travel dates, group size, and any special requirements.
- Step 2: Receive a detailed itinerary and quote from the Kizza Adventures team, including all inclusions and exclusions.
- Step 3: Pay the required deposit to confirm your booking. A 20% deposit of the total booking value is required for all tours.
- Step 4: Receive your official Kizza Adventures booking confirmation with a unique reference number.
- Step 5: Pay the remaining balance at least 30 days before your scheduled arrival date.
Note: Late bookings made within 30 days of the departure date require full payment at the time of booking. Please contact Kizza Adventures directly for last-minute availability.
Payment Terms & Schedules
Kizza Adventures offers flexible payment options to make your adventure booking convenient and secure. All payments must be made in the currency agreed upon in your booking confirmation. Kizza Adventures accepts payments via bank transfer, credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and select cryptocurrencies (BTC, USDT).
Deposit Requirement: A 20% deposit of the total booking value is required at the time of booking confirmation. This deposit is non-refundable once the booking has been confirmed, as it covers administrative costs, permit reservations, and guide scheduling by Kizza Adventures.
The full balance payment must be made at least 30 days prior to your arrival date. Kizza Adventures reserves the right to cancel any booking for which the full balance has not been received by the due date, and the cancellation policy (Section 4) will apply. For bookings made less than 30 days before arrival, the full amount is payable immediately upon confirmation.

All payments to Kizza Adventures are processed through SSL-encrypted channels. Your financial data is protected using industry-standard 256-bit encryption. Kizza Adventures does not store your full credit card details on its servers.
Cancellation Policy
Kizza Adventures understands that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair while protecting the costs incurred by Kizza Adventures in preparing for your tour. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to [email protected] or via WhatsApp at +255623524929. The cancellation date is the date we receive your written notification.
Below is the complete cancellation fee schedule for all Kizza Adventures bookings:

Important: A 20% deposit is non-refundable once the booking has been confirmed by Kizza Adventures. The full balance payment must be made 30 days prior to the arrival date. Kizza Adventures strongly recommends purchasing comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking to protect against unforeseen cancellations.
Cancellation by Kizza Adventures: In the unlikely event that Kizza Adventures must cancel a tour due to insufficient bookings, logistical issues, or circumstances beyond our control, you will be offered a full refund of all payments made or an alternative date/package of equivalent value. Kizza Adventures will not be liable for any additional costs incurred, including but not limited to flights, visas, or personal expenses.
Deposit & Balance Payment Details
When you book with Kizza Adventures, you agree to the following deposit and balance payment structure:
- Deposit: A 20% deposit of the total tour price is required to confirm any booking with Kizza Adventures. The deposit secures your spot, permits, guide allocation, and equipment reservation.
- Non-Refundable Deposit: The 20% deposit is non-refundable once the booking has been confirmed by Kizza Adventures. This policy applies because Kizza Adventures incurs upfront costs including park permit reservations, guide scheduling, and administrative processing.
- Balance Payment: The remaining 80% of the total booking value must be paid no later than 30 days before your scheduled arrival date in Tanzania.
- Late Payment: If the balance is not received by the due date, Kizza Adventures reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled and apply the cancellation policy outlined in Section 4.
Kizza Adventures provides a detailed invoice for every payment made. All invoices are sent via email and can be provided in PDF format for your records. If you require a payment plan customised to your needs, please contact Kizza Adventures directly and we will do our best to accommodate.
Health & Medical Requirements
Your safety is the highest priority for Kizza Adventures. All participants in Kizza Adventures tours, particularly Kilimanjaro climbs and high-altitude treks, must be in good physical health. By booking with Kizza Adventures, you confirm that you are physically capable of participating in the chosen tour.
- Medical Disclosure: You must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, or medications to Kizza Adventures at the time of booking. This includes but is not limited to heart conditions, respiratory issues, diabetes, epilepsy, and pregnancy.
- Altitude Sickness: For Kilimanjaro climbs booked through Kizza Adventures, all climbers must understand the risks of altitude sickness. Our guides are trained in wilderness first aid and carry supplemental oxygen on every Kizza Adventures climb.
- Medical Evacuation: Kizza Adventures has evacuation protocols in place. However, the cost of medical evacuation is the responsibility of the client. Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical evacuation is mandatory for all Kizza Adventures treks.
- Vaccinations: Consult your doctor about recommended vaccinations for Tanzania. Common recommendations include yellow fever, hepatitis A & B, typhoid, and tetanus. Kizza Adventures can provide guidance upon request.
Kizza Adventures Safety Commitment: Every Kizza Adventures expedition includes certified guides, first aid kits, pulse oximeters, and emergency oxygen. Our team conducts daily health checks on all climbers and trekkers.
Travel Insurance
Kizza Adventures strongly requires all participants to have comprehensive travel insurance that covers the following:
- Medical expenses and hospitalisation (minimum USD 100,000 coverage)
- Emergency medical evacuation and repatriation (including helicopter evacuation from Kilimanjaro)
- Trip cancellation and interruption (to cover the Kizza Adventures cancellation policy fees)
- Personal liability and accident coverage
- Loss or theft of luggage and personal belongings
- Coverage for high-altitude trekking up to 5,895 metres (for Kilimanjaro climbs)
Kizza Adventures is not responsible for any costs arising from your failure to obtain adequate travel insurance. Please provide your insurance details to Kizza Adventures before departure. If you need recommendations for reputable insurers that cover Kilimanjaro climbs and Tanzania safaris, the Kizza Adventures team can offer guidance.
Liability & Indemnification
Kizza Adventures acts as a tour operator and intermediary for various travel services including accommodation, transportation, guided excursions, and park permits. While Kizza Adventures takes every precaution to ensure your safety and satisfaction, you acknowledge that adventure travel involves inherent risks.
- Assumption of Risk: By booking with Kizza Adventures, you acknowledge that activities such as Kilimanjaro climbing, wildlife safaris, and mountain trekking carry inherent risks including but not limited to altitude sickness, wildlife encounters, vehicle accidents, and adverse weather conditions.
- Limitation of Liability: Kizza Adventures shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, or delay arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, government restrictions, strikes, or medical emergencies.
- Participant Responsibility: You agree to follow all instructions from Kizza Adventures guides and staff. Failure to comply may result in removal from the tour without refund at the discretion of Kizza Adventures.
- Third-Party Services: Kizza Adventures uses third-party providers for certain services (lodges, airlines, transfer companies). While we carefully select our partners, Kizza Adventures is not liable for their acts or omissions.
Passport, Visa & Immigration
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have a valid passport (with at least six months validity beyond your intended departure date from Tanzania) and all necessary visas for your Kizza Adventures tour. Kizza Adventures can provide guidance on visa requirements but accepts no liability for visa denials or immigration issues.
- Most nationalities can obtain a Tanzania visa on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) for approximately USD 50-100.
- Kizza Adventures recommends applying for an e-Visa online before travel to save time at immigration.
- For multi-country tours (e.g., Tanzania & Kenya safaris with Kizza Adventures), ensure your passport has sufficient blank pages for entry/exit stamps.
- Kizza Adventures is not responsible for costs incurred due to passport or visa issues, including missed departures or cancelled tours.
Itinerary Changes & Flexibility
Kizza Adventures strives to deliver every tour exactly as described. However, flexibility is essential in adventure travel. Kizza Adventures reserves the right to modify itineraries due to weather conditions, park regulations, safety concerns, or operational requirements.
- Minor Changes: Kizza Adventures may make minor adjustments to daily schedules, camp locations, or activity timing without prior notice.
- Major Changes: If Kizza Adventures must make a significant change to your itinerary, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer reasonable alternatives of equivalent value.
- Force Majeure: In circumstances beyond Kizza Adventures' control (see Section 13), changes may be necessary and no compensation will be provided.
- Client-Requested Changes: If you wish to modify your confirmed Kizza Adventures booking, a change fee may apply depending on the nature and timing of the request.
Our Promise: Kizza Adventures guarantees that any changes made will maintain the quality and value of your experience. Our team will always prioritise your safety and satisfaction.
Code of Conduct & Responsible Travel
Kizza Adventures is committed to responsible and sustainable tourism. As a participant on any Kizza Adventures tour, you are expected to:
- Respect local cultures, customs, traditions, and religious practices in all communities visited by Kizza Adventures.
- Follow environmental guidelines — leave no trace, avoid single-use plastics, and respect wildlife habitats during Kizza Adventures safaris.
- Follow all safety instructions provided by Kizza Adventures guides and staff without exception.
- Not consume illegal drugs or abuse alcohol during any Kizza Adventures tour. Kizza Adventures reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour endangers others or disrupts the group.
- Treat fellow travellers, Kizza Adventures staff, porters, and local community members with respect and dignity at all times.
- Photograph people respectfully and only with their consent. Kizza Adventures encourages responsible photography.
Kizza Adventures operates a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, or any form of abusive behaviour. Any violation may result in immediate removal from the tour without refund, at the sole discretion of Kizza Adventures.
Privacy & Data Protection
Kizza Adventures respects your privacy. Any personal information you provide to Kizza Adventures including your name, email address, phone number, passport details, and medical information is collected solely for the purpose of delivering your travel services and will not be shared with third parties except as necessary to fulfil your booking (e.g., with park authorities, lodges, or airlines).
- Kizza Adventures uses SSL encryption to protect your data during transmission.
- Your information is stored securely and only accessible to authorised Kizza Adventures staff.
- Kizza Adventures does not sell or rent your personal data to any third party for marketing purposes.
- You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data held by Kizza Adventures at any time.

Force Majeure
Kizza Adventures shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under these Terms if such delay or failure arises from circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Force majeure events include but are not limited to:
- Acts of God (earthquakes, floods, landslides, volcanic eruptions)
- Pandemics, epidemics, or public health emergencies
- War, terrorism, civil unrest, or political instability in Tanzania or neighbouring countries
- Government restrictions, travel bans, or closed borders
- Strikes or industrial action affecting transportation or services
- Adverse weather conditions preventing safe travel or trekking
In the event of a force majeure situation, Kizza Adventures will make every reasonable effort to offer alternative arrangements or provide credit toward a future Kizza Adventures booking. No refunds will be provided for force majeure events. Kizza Adventures strongly recommends comprehensive travel insurance that covers force majeure cancellations.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms and the relationship between you and Kizza Adventures shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties.
If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days, it shall be referred to mediation in Moshi, Tanzania. If mediation fails, the dispute shall be finally resolved by the courts of Moshi, Kilimanjaro Region, Tanzania. Kizza Adventures is committed to resolving any concerns fairly and promptly.
