The classic river-loop mistake is re-fishing day two's banks on day three. Don't: the Mara system holds half a dozen distinct water characters — main-channel crossings, hippo-poolnarrows, spring-fed side channels — and herds rotate between them. Ask your guide each evening which water fished worst today, and start there tomorrow. Bank variety doubles unique sightings the way extra hours cannot. Far banks especially: the crossing you missed yesterday often stages there today.

Vehicle Bean Bags

Dust is the #1 enemy of camera equipment. Bring a camera dust blower, lens cleaning cloths, and a rain cover (dust cover). Zip-lock bags for memory cards and batteries. Avoid changing lenses in open air when possible.

Health & Vaccinations
Yellow Fever certificate required if travelling from an endemic country. Recommended: Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Tetanus, and routine vaccinations. Malaria prophylaxis is strongly recommended — consult your doctor 4-6 weeks before travel.
