Day 1: Arusha - Serengeti South - Ndutu Area

The exciting migration safari begins early on the first day. After being warmly greeted by our team, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and embark on an adventurous journey to the stunning Ndutu region. This scenic drive covers approximately 260 kilometers and takes about 5.5 hours. As you set off, you'll drive through the breathtaking landscapes of Tanzania. After about 2 hours of our 6 day ndutu migration you will enter the world-famous Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA), where the scenery transforms from hilly forests to expansive, lush grasslands. The drive is a visual treat, and anticipation builds as you approach Ndutu. Upon reaching Ndutu, you'll start an exhilarating half-day game drive, with a picturesque picnic lunch stop along the way. The region's sweeping grasslands gradually blend into the iconic Serengeti, offering spectacular views of the diverse wildlife. Ndutu is a crucial part of the legendary migration route for over 2 million wildebeests and thousands of zebras, antelopes, and gazelles. During the prime migration season between December and April, the fertile plains become a calving ground and nursery for the great migration. This period also attracts numerous predators, such as lions and hyenas, eager to prey on the vulnerable young wildebeests. The presence of Ndutu Lake and Lake Masek adds to the region's allure, providing water sources that sustain abundant wildlife, especially during the dry season. As your action-packed game drive concludes around 5 PM, you will head to your luxurious accommodation, where a freshly prepared dinner awaits. Stunned by the previous day's spotting of the migration, today you get another chance to view the beautiful wildlife spectacle in the Ndutu region. This area is part of the renowned Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA). Heading out for a full day game drive after breakfast, you will follow the migration depending on its location in either NCA or Serengeti. During game drives between December and April, witness the fertile plains transform into calving grounds and nursery for the great migration. in 6 day ndutu migration this season attracts predators preying on vulnerable young wildebeest, making for an unforgettable experience. The action-packed game drive will end by around 5 PM, after which you will head towards your chosen accommodation. Enjoy a freshly prepared dinner and ensure you get good rest for another exciting day. The excitement for today will be quite high as you make your way into the most celebrated wildlife park in the world – The Serengeti. After finishing up a good breakfast of our 6 day ndutu migration you will head out towards the Serengeti National Park and travel in the midst of the never-ending plain grasslands. The Serengeti, means endless plains in the local African language and watching the grassland stretch out as far as the eye can see and eventually merging with the sky at the horizon is an absolutely breathtaking view. With an overall land area of 14,763 Sq Kms, it puts our notion about distance to shame. The Serengeti also houses the glorious “Big 5” (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard). Along with the “Big 5”, a very pleasant sighting would be one of Africa’s most beautiful animals – The Impala. The Serengeti ecosystem supports the greatest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa. You must also look out for the Serengeti “Kopjes” which are massive boulders of granite standing in a sea of grass. They provide ample shelter to a large variety of flora and fauna. A picnic lunch will be done during the day long game drive itself. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation. After breakfast of our 6 day ndutu migration we will set off on a full day game drive in the wilderness following the Great Migration trails. Our experienced driver tour guide will provide you with interesting facts about this highly renowned event, which makes Tanzania the top safari destination in Africa. Serengeti, a UNESCO world heritage site, is home to around 200,000 zebras, and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelles, which join in the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Listen to the exotic sounds of over six million hooves pounding the open plains. This is just like you imagined Africa to be. Overnight at your camp. Today, by 9AM in the morning you will head out for a short game drive in the Serengeti after a good breakfast. After completing a half day game drive along with a picnic lunch, we will branch out and head towards the Ngorongoro crater rim. The 75-km drive to Ngorongoro Crater rim will take about 2.5 hrs, with mild game action to see on the way. The crater is one of Africa’s impressive geological attraction and supreme mecca of wilderness. The day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good rest in your choice of accommodation. Get a good rest and refuel yourself, for the following day you will descend into the massive crater. Main Accommodation Accommodations: Rhino Lodge / Ngorongoro Serena Luxury Lodge

On the last day of your safari, you will have an early start. Finishing up with a quick breakfast you will make an early descend into the crater floor. in 6 day ndutu migration the Ngorongoro crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. It has a massive floor of about 260 sq kms with a depth of over 2000 feet. The 5-hour game drive in the crater floor, will show you a lot of animal action. Keeping the camera ready is definitely recommended. The African elephant, buffalo, Black rhino, Hippos, Hyenas, Cheetahs and Lions are found in plenty. Post the picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo pool, you will begin a steep ascend to the top exit of the crater. This is the last leg of your safari, with a 4hr drive left to Arusha. You will be dropped off to your preferred location in Arusha by 6PM in the evening.
