Day-by-day breakdown of your 2-day mid-range Tanzania road safari through Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater.
Morning: Your mid-range safari begins with a 7:00 AM pickup from your Arusha hotel. Meet your expert guide Daniel Mrith, your personal wildlife interpreter for the entire 2-day journey. After a brief orientation, you'll depart Arusha heading south towards Tarangire National Park. The 2.5-hour scenic drive passes through Maasai villages and the Great Rift Valley escarpment.
Afternoon: Arrive at Tarangire National Park around 10:30 AM. The park is famous for its ancient baobab trees and the Tarangire River, the seasonal water source that draws massive elephant herds. Your first game drive begins immediately – scan the savannah for elephant families, baobabs over 1,000 years old, and predators along the river. Afternoon game drive (2:00 PM to 5:30 PM) through riverine woodlands where elephants, lions, and leopards gather.
Evening: Exit the park and transfer to your lodge in the Tarangire area (15-20 minutes). Check in, freshen up in your en-suite room, and enjoy dinner. Your guide will brief you on tomorrow's Ngorongoro adventure. Relax under the star-filled African sky.

Afternoon: Arrive at the Ngorongoro Crater rim and prepare for one of Africa's greatest wildlife experiences. Descend 600 metres into the UNESCO World Heritage caldera – a 260 sq km natural enclosure where the Big Five live year-round. Afternoon game drive (2:00 PM to 5:30 PM) on the crater floor: flamingos at Lake Magadi, elephants at the Hippo Pool, lions, and – with luck – the endangered black rhino in the Lerai Forest.

Vehicle Bean Bags
Each vehicle has a window-mount bean bag for lens stabilization. This is more effective than a tripod and allows quick setup when the action is happening. We also carry a monopod in the vehicle.

Dust is the #1 enemy of camera equipment. Bring a camera dust blower, lens cleaning cloths, and a rain cover (dust cover). Zip-lock bags for memory cards and batteries. Avoid changing lenses in open air when possible.
