A three-night route that trades speed for patience — every session is timed to the golden hours and flexes around wildlife, weather and park conditions.
The tour opens with a westbound run from Arusha through the highlands and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, descending onto the central plains with the usual gate-formalities pause. Fly-in guests instead land at Seronera and meet the crew in the park — the access arrangement is confirmed at booking against your dates.
After settling in, the first session uses the low late-afternoon light across the plains around Seronera, where riverine trees and waterholes keep a resident cast of lion, leopard and elephant. The drive line adapts to the day's conditions and no sighting is guaranteed — the guide builds the session around what the animals actually present.
Return to camp before darkness for dinner and the first kit briefing — card workflow, backup routine and the pre-dawn schedule. The night is at a comfortable en-suite camp or lodge close to the photo zones, confirmed at booking.
Day Two starts in the pre-dawn dark and uses the first golden window on the classic predator lines of Seronera — the open short-grass hunting ground where cheetah and lion operate in the long light. The private vehicle holds station so the scene develops in front of your lens rather than passing you.
The middle of the day returns to camp for card handling, lunch and rest while the light flattens overhead. When shade and wildlife allow, a short midday round explores shaded watercourses for resting cats and river birds — kept flexible rather than promised.
The evening window returns to the plains at dusk, when herds and predators move in the low colour. Back to camp after dark for dinner, a review of the day's frames and the options for the next morning.
A full day travels south to the Moru Kopjes, the granitic outcrops of the southwestern plains where a resident lion population drapes itself over the warm rock and elephants work the waterholes between the islands of stone. The landscape changes your angles completely — rocks, dwarf sausage trees and a wide horizon of short grass.

Vehicle Bean Bags
Each vehicle has a window-mount bean bag for lens stabilization. This is more effective than a tripod and allows quick setup when the action is happening. We also carry a monopod in the vehicle.

Dust is the #1 enemy of camera equipment. Bring a camera dust blower, lens cleaning cloths, and a rain cover (dust cover). Zip-lock bags for memory cards and batteries. Avoid changing lenses in open air when possible.

Yellow Fever certificate required if travelling from an endemic country. Recommended: Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Tetanus, and routine vaccinations. Malaria prophylaxis is strongly recommended "” consult your doctor 4-6 weeks before travel.
Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory. Must cover medical evacuation, trip cancellation, baggage loss, and emergency repatriation. We recommend World Nomads, SafetWing, or your local provider. We do not sell insurance but can advise on adequate coverage.
