Five Days of Permits, Light and Full Coverage
A recce day followed by four shoot blocks — every zone and every light window sequenced so the footage covers the complete Serengeti story.
Early departure from Arusha carries the crew and permit files over the highlands and across the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the park gate. Camera and vehicle clearances are checked at every checkpoint while the fixer manages the formalities and the specialist vehicle is loaded for the descent onto the plains.
Arriving in the central Serengeti by afternoon, the first activity is a location intro across all three planned zones — Seronera's riverine woodland, the Moru Kopjes approach and the open-plains access roads. The fixer confirms each zone's shoot window with the park office and positions the vehicle for a pre-dawn start.
Camp that evening: a kit briefing covering card workflow, backup routine, battery rotation and the first block's call sheet. The night is at a comfortable en-suite camp or lodge near the zones, confirmed at booking.
The first shoot block opens pre-dawn on the Seronera riverine zone — fig trees, waterholes and the light catching the canopy as the day breaks. The fixer positions the vehicle against the shot list, keeping the golden-hour depth in frame while the schedule holds.
Mid-morning the crew breaks for rushes review and card backup at camp. The fixer confirms the evening window and preps the plains-zone plan before resting the crew through the overhead light.

Day Four brings the production to the Moru Kopjes — granite outcrops, dwarf sausage trees and a short-grass horizon that add texture and depth to the edit. Compositions slow here, read through a telephoto across the open ground.
The fixer coordinates kopje access with the ranger station and holds the zone's movement rules; midday is rushes, backup and rest among the rocks as the granite light shifts through different moods.

Vehicle Bean Bags

Dust is the #1 enemy of camera equipment. Bring a camera dust blower, lens cleaning cloths, and a rain cover (dust cover). Zip-lock bags for memory cards and batteries. Avoid changing lenses in open air when possible.

Yellow Fever certificate required if travelling from an endemic country. Recommended: Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Tetanus, and routine vaccinations. Malaria prophylaxis is strongly recommended "” consult your doctor 4-6 weeks before travel.
Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory. Must cover medical evacuation, trip cancellation, baggage loss, and emergency repatriation. We recommend World Nomads, SafetWing, or your local provider. We do not sell insurance but can advise on adequate coverage.
