After a brief orientation with your safari coordinator, you'll depart for Tarangire National Park, approximately a 2.5-hour drive through the Great Rift Valley. Your private guide and customised Toyota Land Cruiser with pop-up roof will be your home for the next three days.
Midday: Arrive at Tarangire's main gate and begin your first game drive immediately. Tarangire is famous for its massive baobab trees and large elephant herds - some groups of 100+ elephants are commonly seen. The Tarangire River, the park's only permanent water source, attracts a dense concentration of wildlife during the dry season (June-October). The route climbs through the Great Rift Valley and past Lake Manyara, offering breathtaking views of the escarpment. Arrive at the crater rim by early afternoon and check into Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, perched on the rim with sweeping views across the crater floor below.
Afternoon: Relax and enjoy lunch with panoramic crater views. Family Premium Lodge Safari
This safari is suitable for families with children aged 6+. Children are fascinated by the wildlife, and our guides are experienced in engaging young adventurers. Special family-friendly accommodations with interconnecting rooms or family suites available.
Children's activities include: junior ranger programs, wildlife sketching, animal tracking lessons, Maasai beadwork, and stargazing sessions. Children under 12 receive 40% discount on the adult rate. Children under 6 can join private safaris in our vehicle.
